Crowns

Porcelain crowns (or caps as some people call them) are the most dentally invasive procedure but they offer the best esthetics and longevity. Crowns can be made to be very realistic and can correct many defects in the original smile. Crowns are usually placed over teeth that have had root canal therapy. They are also placed over cracked teeth. They are done to strengthen teeth and preserve the bite. They are sometimes placed with a combination of bonding and/or veneers to enhance or remake a smile.

Bridgework

If the teeth surrounding the space are sound, fixed bridgework should be considered. A bridge is a false tooth (or teeth) fused between two crowns to fill in the area left by the missing tooth (or teeth). This procedure is used to replace one or multiple teeth. Fixed bridgework cannot be taken out of your mouth as you do with a partial or full denture. Bridges can reduce instances of tooth movement, help correct bite issues, improve your speech and of course improve your smile! Bridgework requres your commitment to serious oral hygiene, but is long lasting.
